By a stroke of luck, an adorable calico kitten was recently rescued in New York after a Brooklyn photographer spotted the kitten hiding under the hood of an adjacent car on the road.

Eight years ago, my friends and I pulled into a diner off a major highway. When we came out, we heard a howling kitten noise. W couldn't figure where it was coming from. Eventually, we realized it was coming from under a truck. After searching, we found this month old kitten sitting on the tire in the wheel well of the truck. He smelled of gas, and I noticed a few fleas.
It was Nov., and he was cold, and so scared. I immediately wanted him, and my Spencer will be with me 9 years this Nov.

What a wonderful story! The beauty is not just saving the kitten Mercedes life, but the unity of all who helped!
I believe each and everyone of those who helped are more empowered by their loving kindness. They are angels who walk amongst us.

Cats originated the saying 'Any port in a storm'. They climb into some of the strangest situations. Good thing this one was retrieved.
