Study Finds Kardashians Get 40 Times More News Coverage Than Ocean Acidification

Carbon dioxide emissions are not just warming up our atmosphere, they're also changing the chemistry of our oceans. This phenomenon is known as ocean acidification, or sometimes as global warming's "evil twin" or the "osteoporosis of the sea."

Humans need to start paying attention to what matters-the health of the planet is more important than ANYTHING.

A minute of coverage on the Kardashians is to much. A sad reality in the US is that these so called celebrities are what the American people are interested in. Priorities?

Enough to make my stomach turn. People place more importance on celebrities (and in the case of the Kardashians I use that word very loosely) fashion, reality TV, making money, etc. than on things that have true meaning and importance. Is it any wonder why the United States is as screwed up as it is? If you also factor in the GOP/tea-party monster and their agendas it makes for a sorry state of affairs here. Thanks Cher.

Noted..what a shame to pay more attention to these high priced no talented idiots. These people should get real jobs! The world is in big trouble. With our Oceans and Carbon dioxide emissions, the hole planet is in dire straits..and the list goes on and on ..thanks Cher!

Sadly noted & so true!! Even are news shows are more interested in the break up of some celebrity marriage than the fact that Rhino's are being slaughtered to near extinction. Not one word about that. Sad state of affairs.

I'm not sure what the Kardashians have to do with this.other than an opportunity to bash someone...But I absolutely;y agree that there is not enough attention placed on the issue of ocean acidification..

Strange title for a news story..

Thanks Cher..

I usually put posts on my FB for important matters. This won't make it. The public needs to dismiss anything to do with celebrities. Ignore and maybe they'll go away

This is really pathetic. Our general population is SO UNAWARE of what's really important and about what is going on in the world. I don't know why so many are fixated on these NO TALENT phony "celebrities". This country needs to get a life!

It seems like the majority of people do not want to read or hear anything serious or depressing anymore. They want fun, fun, fun and, oh yes, make it short. So sad.
