Heartbreaking news from Madagascar, an island that has been inhabited by our species for only the last 2,000 years, highlights the great impact our reckless success is having on the ability of other mothers to give their children what so many of us take

These article is so profound and reveals such truths about out destructive lifestyles, our terrible disregard for the lives of other species, and sadly corrupt governments who show no concern about conserving forests and it's magnificent denizens! How tragic for us all if we don't act now and let these lemurs just become victims of people who so ruthlessly hunt them and be served in fancy restaurants! This is where our priorities should be to save what remaining species there are on our planet- to be inspired by such incredible life with it's infinite variety- instead our governments continue to be hampered by a a lack of vision for our future in changing our destructive course for the sake of so many magnificent species on our planet and ultimately effecting even our own capacity to survive.

I have been worried for 30 years that lemurs would be extinct before I have the opportunity to go to Madagascar to see them. (the 1 thing on my bucket list) I am surprised they have survived as long as they have.

Very sadly noted ( for the 2nd time ), my avatar is a lemur I can't believe my eyes when reading this. Human beings are really the worst living creatures ever. Lemurs have been living on Earth for so long, now they're close to extinction like many animals and other species. I hope scientists will find a solution, I hope our government will make laws to prevent deforestation to go worse. Our deputies were schocked by Mrs Cécile Dufflaut's dress, what does that mean ? RIDICULOUS global warming and biodiversity are of interest Dufflau is not !

My God what a truly sickening species we are. We despise the majority of humans more and more who contribute to wreaking this havoc on nature. It is not what God the Father intended for this planet and we will pay in the end.
