The levels to which the human race will stoop to kill any other living creature that gets in its' way never fails to horrify me. Rabbits might be a nuisance to humans but humans pose a far greater threat to rabbits - maybe one day we, as a race, will be called to account for our actions.

signed, this is so pathetic for them is easy just to bury them alive instead of looking for alternatives like spay and neuter the fuzzy ones, i have a bunny and is neuter, why not continued to advocate and educate the public Canada you don't make any sense at all even though you are just across from us, i thought your country was more witty than that. hmmmmm just wondering?

Signed the petition. Also, can't rabbits just dig a new hole from there burrows? I'm not a rabbit specialist but I do know that if an animal makes a burrow, they usually have more than one exit and entrance. Although it is extremely inhumane what these people are trying to do to reduce rabbit populations in there town. So, a solution to this problem instead of incorrectly thinking that covering up the hole of a burrowing animal will kill it could be to just let them live. They are rabbits not wolves or bears, what is the worst damage a rabbit could do to a person? Eat their daffidils? Plus, this could be a good thing to have more rabbits around. The neighboring carnivores can stay healthy and alive as well as start building up their populations. This may seem cruel but it's a win win for both creatures. The carnivore gets fed and the other rabbits get more food and space. Maybe another idea could be to start rounding up the wild rabbits and selling them to other parts of the world. Lots of third world countries or laboratories or even low income housed communities would love to have them. Just throwing out some suggestions besides just yelling at these people for "buring" rabbits alive.
