A little robin had a lucky escape after getting stuck on a glue board, in the same area and just a few days before a grass snake was fatally injured by a similar trap.

Glue traps are still used in Italy to catch mice and rats, may you never see as it reduces the animal trapped
This is a disgrace worthy of the Middle Ages
Congratulations to the families of two teenagers, who were able to bring them up to the value of respect for life ... anything but easy in these times.
Thank you Cher

I have seen these traps for sale, they are dreadful. The RSPCA provide a fantastic level of support to Animals and has been doing so since 1824 - which I think is something they should rightly be proud of.

Ban glue traps. No critter should have to die on the glue traps. That would be like quick sand for a hymand. It's inhumane.

It certainly is refreshing to hear of a group of teenage boys helping animals, instead of hurting them for a change! Ban all glue traps & kudos to the parents of these boys. Thanks Cher.

Glue traps should probably be restricted to those that catch insects and arthropods like fleas, mites, and bedbugs, not as rodent traps where a cat will serve better. Also people who use glue traps should be required to monitor them the same way fur trappers are supposed to check their lines regularly and frequently to remove bycatch and have injuries corrected, and/or quickly and mercifully kill intended prey.

Forget monitoring them, just stop all production of glue traps. I don't even like to use them for bugs. I just usher my bugs out fo the house anyway and the spiders are just my roommates.

Bravo to these two boys. Adolescent/teenage boys get bad press (usually because they deserve tit) but there are lot os caring boys in the world. As withe pit bulls we only hear the bad news.

What good is monitoring a trap? The animal is STILL injured or killed. Glue traps are a despicable and barbaric idea. They need to be banned. Shame on anyone who uses them. It's a horrific way to die.

Hard to believe the Robin survived. NIce to hear there are still kids who actually have clean souls and hearts that aren't black. Glue traps need to be outlawed EVERYWHERE!

What a sick and sadistic person(s) "invented" glue traps. Hope they are locked up and receiving psychotherapy. Same for those who use them.

Good job, boys, for taking action!

That's my fear. I'd like to catch the flies and wasps on my porch, but I worry about the birds. So, I have a wasp trap now. Wish it worked better.

Thank you to the caring young boys.
As for glue traps, they should be banned as an outrageously cruel way of dealing with problem animals. Only a brute could use one on animals.

These little birds are tiny in comparison to the American robin which is really a thrush, a little smaller than a sparrow. It could have starved so quickly the irresponsible jerks who left this need a good hiding. What a credit to their parents these boys are. Kudos to them.
