Translation.....

Pigs are intelligent, social animals capable of feeling fear, pain and stress. Still, on factory farms in Mexico are crowded to sows for virtually his entire life in gestation crates, enclosures in which they can not even turn around. Several pork producing companies and multinational companies, including Burger King and McDonald's are eliminating the use of these cages. The continuous confinement of sows in these cages has been banned or are in process of disappearing in the European Union, New Zealand and nine U.S. states.

Smithfield Foods , the company porcicultora largest worldwide, recently made a commitment to eliminate gestation stalls at all facilities owned by your company in the U.S. for 2017. However, it has extended this commitment to facilities in Mexico, which is co-owner, particularly Granjas Carroll de Mexico, the country's largest porcicultora. Animals in Mexico, including production, deserve humane treatment.

We hear so much about cruelty to lots of different animals but pigs always seem to come up time and time again. They are such intelligent creatures and NO WAY should they be treated like this. Heartbreaking and it has to stop.

Noted & Signed! Factory farming is absolutely horrible cruelty to animals. Smithfield should stop the use of these extremely inhumane crates long before 2017 and they should certainly include Mexico too! They're just another greedy factory farm putting profits above the humane treatment of animals, the public's health, and the terrible pollution of our environment! Everyone should be boycotting all products from Smithfield right now and indeed all factory farms that are so cruel and are so environmentally destructive!
