Recently, Braga's Administrative Court decided that "the right to exercise a cultural right was being infringed," and set up a temporary bull ring in Viano do Castelo against the town hall's wishes. Organizers expect 2,800 attenders

A cultural right? Feeding Christians to lions was once considered a right, and entertainment, but that didn't make it okay. S & N, thanks, my friend.

They love to abuse animals and are getting away with it saying that it's their culture. They are just a bunch of disgusting bastards that are happy when they see an animal suffering.... It's sad to see so much horrible people like that in 2012.

Bullfighting is for COWARDS. The bull is stabbed in the neck repeatedly by the guys on horseback, then he is run ragged by the guy with the cape. Finally, the bull is stabbed to death. No country should be proud of animal torture as a part of its "culture."

Noted and signed. Tormenting and killing an innocent animal doesn't add or enrich a city's or country's culture; it only shows it's inhumanity.

Signed. The city has spoken and does not want the torturing and murdering of bulls and their wishes should be respected. It is cruelty nothing more and nothing less. The horses are innocent victims too. This is disgusting.

I have signed this as I do disagree with bullfighting. I just want people signing here to know that the bull is not killed in the ring here in Portugal. It is not stabbed to death as someone commented. It is put to death by a vet after it leaves the ring. I know this is also not right but please do not attack a whole country because of something that happens in only part of the country. There are a lot of Portuguese people trying to get bullfighting banned.
