although I signed I am an advocate for euthanasia. I know that shooting is not very humane, BUT consider the other myriad ways they die. To me that is humane, I wish they had a shelter

happily signed, i believe in giving hope to strays, there is nothing more rewarding then seeing an animal who has lived life without a family learn love... omg like brood dogs that have never been out of a cage... when they get to lay on a bed or feel grass o.0 its the most refreshing sight in the world! i have been involved in the most incredible rescues. that has made life blessed, so TY CHER! you rock! and ty to everyone of my dear friends, i have been blessed in the most amazing life

see my profile picture, this is Gizmo, my stray Akita rescued from the streets of St. Paul. He was considered dangerous of course cause of breed profile, and the start of my rescues. 18 Akita's Saved to date, and I sure would never want one of them shot or killed.

I just cannot understand why stray dogs are killed. As long as they are not suffering from some highly contagious disease and are violent, they don't pose any dangers. Why not just let them fend for themselves?? Like other animals do! We have taken away all their space and now we want to kill them! Why!?? Thank God in India Stray dogs are not killed, they live and fend for themselves. Even all the shelters here are NO-Kill shelters, by Law, in-spite of the meager resources they have, Compared to here i think the shelters in Western Countries are much well equipped, but still dogs and cats are killed by thousands everyday!! :(
