Wildflowers may have looked wonderful in the Olympic Park but across Britain they are going extinct faster than ever before with more than two species disappearing from some counties every year, according to Plantlife

It's been a while since we noticed that wildflowers along country roadsides were becoming rarer and sometimes we see none at all. It's tempting to sew seeds along fringes between fields and roads but we haven't done so yet because we haven't checked that it's not illegal.
Celebrity gardeners have been suggesting for years that every garden owner leaves a wild patch in one corner for wildflowers and insects to make their home. Wonderful idea.

In the backyard we grow wild flowers only, many different birds are there, too.

This really is upsetting. Wildflowers are one of England's trademarks. There has to be a way to bringing there plants to life.
This is like saying the heather on the moors are dying out. This is not an environmental issue, it's a national issue.
