Printing on both sides of the paper is a huge tip; rarely is this done. Especially in schools.

Noted. Another tip I don't see often (enough) on lists like this is to use those reusable cloth bags stores are selling now. I got one for free last year from a store and recently started trying to use it (I'll admit it kept slipping my mind to actually take it with me). I've avoided having to use what i would guess to be two-five plastic bags over the two trips to a Dollar General I've used it.

Eating no animals forever more will save us all from the nightmare to come. As drought increases, so do disasters, loss of food and water. Economy tanks. People eat grain, not cows, so why grow GMO corn and soy for cattle? We must educate ourselves as to how our dietary choices can destroy the world vs how they can save the world. Eating animals affects air, fresh water, oceans, soil, climate, animals people, forests, bees, health....eveything negatively.

Thanks for the tips. As well as printing on both sides of the paper, I use scrap paper (such as junk mail), and print on the reverse of the page, if the info is just for my own records.

You can save on #5 even more by washing your dishes by hand instead of a machine. Overall good tips, thanks!

Good tips but they are all ones I've seen before. Here are some you may not know about: 1. Not only should you turn off appliances when not in use, but you should unplug then too, unless there is a good reason to leave it plugged. 2. Buy things from a thrift store, clothing, household items, books and movies. People discard things that still have plenty of life left in them. Why not put them to good use, instead of buying brand new? Not only is it less painful on your pocketbook, it saves all of the packaging. If you are like me and are trying to lose weight and need clothes, it makes sense to buy used. I went to a thrift store yesterday and bought a huge bag of clothes for $48.00. They all look brand new. If I had shopped retail I might have gotten 2 shirts for that. As it stands, I ended up with a Halloween costume, a winter coat, & 2 pairs of pjs for my grand-daughter and 8 blouses and 1 pair of slacks for myself.
