Was in Yellowstone in the Fall of 2011. . . woke up about 1:30am by a young Grizz brushing briefly in passing against the tent [12 inches from my bag] looking for food in the campsite. . . saw tracks in the morning. :) Also, came across horse hoof and dog tracks in a different area many miles later in a shallow creek near some hot springs later...somebody was tracking something! Have crossed paths with a few bears in the wild over the years. . .never had a one at all interested in what i was doing...have had a couple of treasured head turns...nods by bears on the run. . .they do love to run! PROTECT THE GRIZZ! Fear, stupidity and greed STINK. . .and animals have noses. . .
