Beautiful kitties - always adopt from shelters or take in the sad strays that need a home. Let these Kitten and Puppy Mills dry up from lack of business.

They're beautiful but they're half wild animal. Isn't a plain old house cat enough for people anymore?

Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure I lucked into fostering a Bengal cat for a local shelter. He is about 7 years old and has all the trademarks of being a Bengal cat or Bengal cat mix. Took me a while to figure it out, because he is of the brown tabby variety with the lovely swirls of a classic tabby on his sides. Handsome boy, shy at first, but each week, we get closer and closer to being buddies. He has been declawed (not by me!), so he sometimes hisses and gives nips to tell me when he's had enough attention, but we're both learning. I wish I could allow him the freedom of the entire house, but my three resident female cats don't respond well to that, so he has to remain in the well-appointed cat room; at least it's a step up from the cramped quarters of a kennel at the shelter where he was for three months before he came here.
