This is yet another story of someone putting their dogs for sale on Craigslist with sad consequences.

Well all I can hope for is that people learn from this story. I can't imagine what the woman is going through that originally had the dogs. Heartbreaking indeed.

Craigs List and both online and paper & ink publications should be "persuaded" to stop accepting pet sale ads. There are now online and physical rescue networks.

That's so horrible. I wonder why she did not see a lawyer as soon as she was told she could no longer see her dogs. I hope they're still alive somewhere and not used for horrors that only humans can think up.

There's no way of knowing who answers an ad on line. She might as well have left them tied up in a park with a note attached saying "take me home". This is so terribly sad for the dogs. When will people learn that an on line ad "free to good home" is just a potential death sentence or worse?

Noted. How utterly sad. I do hope that against all odds, the dogs are found alive and well and can be returned to her.

I will never understand the idiots and a$$holes who sell animals online, craigslist, gumtree, whatever site. The things I have seen from animals who where bought off the internet are appauling (experiences at the RSPCA, AWL and home).
I spent my childhood in a home where my parents would take "free to a good home" animals, fix them up then adopt them out to real homes. It bacame all too easy to find them when the internet came around and from a dozen dogs a year the numbers went up to a dozen dogs a month. Most of the ones we got where full of parasites, obviously mistreated and untrained and never ever desexed (all fixed before adoption).

The dogs we saved where the lucky ones, but millions more are dying every day because people are irrisponsible and don't understand how important their lives are. If you don't want an animal take them to a no or low kill shelter, at least then they have a chance. Also NEVER ever ever give them away for free, its almost a guarantee of abuse neglect, backyard breeding or dog fighting.
