Good! If people want pets, they should adopt rescue cats and dogs from the local shelter - or take in a stray, as I did years ago.

Great news!
Sadly it took the deaths of 50 animals let loose in a residential area in Zanesville to wake people up.

Thank goodness Ohio finally woke up and saw the light. Now we will see how well they uphold this new law. I am ashamed to live in one of the only remaining states that does not have laws such as this one in place. Wisconsin needs to take a good look around the country and by a clue.

I would assume that the people who currently have animals that fall under this law are in violation. If these animals were given up, where would they go? To a zoo? From one misery to another.

Noted. Excellent news! Maybe with all the things that present owners would have to do to keep their so-called "pets" they will actually give them up to sanctuaries that can take better care of the animals. Thanks so much, Cher.

I am delighted. Let's not have more innocent animals harmed because of private ownership.

Yay, "..not only necessary, but entirely constitutional." Let us never forget Zanesille & that madman's actions which resulted in the death of so many beautiful & innocent creatures. RIP
