The trading of big cat pelts is nothing new, but recent demand for snow leopard pelts and taxidermy mounts has added a new commodity to the illegal trade in wildlife products, according to the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA).

I am not only deeply saddened by this news, it just disgust me that humans are so selfish that they are willing to lose this big cat permanetly to covet it's beauty.

This breaks my heart. It is amazing and disgusting what human beings have done to our animals and to our planet. How did people become so uncaring and just plain mean??? I can't understand for the life of me what goes through their heads when they are killing these beautiful animals. They do not care in the least what happens to the world we all live in~~why can't we live in peace and harmony and let nature be nature again?? Too much greed in this world!!!

Implement the mandatory death penalty for all poachers/hunters and those involved. An eye for an eye.
Simple solution.I would be more than happy to help implement internationally

There's just no bloody end to these poachers and big game hunters. They won't be happy until this planet's stripped bare. I'd like to join Kye's club. I'd be more than happy to help. We'd be doing all of animal kind a service. Thanks Cher

I know there are scientists working so hard to save them. They are at the top of my list for a donation.

Heartbreaking, they are such beautiful creatures. When will the killing of creatures stop because of the greedy people that want to make a buck. All life should be respected and we need to protect the animals we share this earth with.

We are at the juncture now that we have no choice but to kill anyone who kills these animals for any reason.

I agree with most. We can't afford to loose these beautiful creatures. Humans are plentiful. They we can afford to loose, especially if they are destroying all of animal friends and the environment for their own personal gain.

How disgusting. They have no right to be killing these precious animals that were place here on Earth for a reason....not for them to be killed by these idiots. Thanks Cher

I thought that due to government subsidization and participation by the local indigenous peoples; snow leopards were on the rise? This is most disconcerting.

I've got a great idea: Let big game hunters hunt themselves. They'd love it. Much more of a challenge. It'd be just like paintball (which is very popular among the gun nuts), but with live ammo. They might have problems finding a taxidermy place for their "trophies," though. It's the perfect solution - they'd take their own ugly asses out, and leave the beautiful wild animals alone.
