If enhancing funds for tiger conservation is high on its agenda, the government is also facing the huge challenge of man-animal conflict. Reports of loss of life, livestock and crops in animal attacks are not uncommon.

India's exploding population is literally destroying the tiger.

I've read stories and seen programs on how organizations are teaching the farmers how to protect their livestock. They can't leave them alone in an open range at night and not expect some deaths. They have shown farmers how to make bramble huts (barns if you will) to put the livestock in at night so the big cats can't get to them. Humans have to take responsibility for their herds and can't complain if they aren't doing anything to protect them. Killing the big cats is not the answer. Basically what the farmer is doing by leaving their herds out at night is almost like a drive thru McDonalds for the big cats.

Anything that has to be done to save these animals must be done.
