Although I agree with some of the antagonism to this petition b/c the Chinese gvmt has such a terrible track record in so many areas, I strongly believe that positive change must be acknowledged in order to be encouraged. Simply judging the efforts as unsatisfactory denies the effort involved in making significant change. We must, as a globally united species, move beyond dismissive judgements into problem-solving pragmatics. After all, there really aren't any *good* choices left, only distinctions of more or less awful.
