Signed. There is no excuse to let animals starve to death- I don't care how addled your brain is, feed the animal a baloney sandwich- better than not giving them anything at all. And if you can't afford to feed them- at least set them free outside if you are too stupid to find them a new home....

When an animal is abused, I want to see the responsible parties receive more then a small fine & slap on the wrist!!!

Cher is there any way that the person who established this petition can reopen it?
I don't understand why you would close a petition when they are receiving lots of signatures and when they are a long way from meeting their required signature goal.

We all know that people abusers, started their life of crime abusing animals.

These individuals suffer from a mental disorder, and cannot get therapy, as long as we continually, reduce funds to help them.
This is similar to the gun situation. The NRA talks about getting assistance for the mentally unstable, all the while, aligning themselves with the conservatives, who continually restrict revenue for this purpose.

Not only should animal cruelty be a felony everywhere, but animal abusers should have to register wherever they live just like sex offenders. Many of those who start out abusing animals eventually move on to abusing, even killing, people. They must be tracked.
