Many communities provide kitchen composting pails for residents to make it easy for them to collect food scraps for composting.

I compost all my food scraps, but this is a great idea for people who don't have a compost bin. Noted. Thanks, Cher.

We have these in our sink and a green bin to put the compost out in, which we empty into every night after dinner. This has been happening for a decade or more.

all our food waste goes into either comost or anaerobic digester.

Bad to waste any food but at least the energy not totally lost.

Some people just too lazy to bother so their waste goes into landfill - despite having excellent recycling available.

This would be great if they did it everywhere. It is difficult to compost living in the city but the cities themselves could use the composted material for beautification projects and for neighborhood gardens.

Have been composting for years and the garden benefits from it.
