There is no way a for profit company will regulate themselves voluntarily. That is why we have laws to oversee them. Thanks again Cher for the great post. I'm following you from now on for all your great posts!

"This proposal represents political shenanigans at their worst. SB10 would allow the Governor and our state legislature to immediately re-structure these commissions with new appointments, likely stacking them in a manner that essentially puts polluters and industry in charge of themselves. In fact, at least one part of SB10 would ALLOW conflicts of interest (on the Coastal Resources Commission). The Charlotte Observer writes that SB10 is "one of the more blatant power grabs in state history, and would clear the way for unchecked ideological policymaking from commissions designed to be independent and non-ideological. It gets rid of public servants before their terms end ..."

What crap! Of course it is a red state, what more should we expect?! Signed
