Great tips. I am so anxious to get to my garden...the problem is the winters in NJ can sometimes last until early April.

We always do as much as possible as early as possible, including starting indoor seedlings, because in northern PA The growing season is VERY short. Meanwhile, the compost is composting...

With warm weather coming earlier every year, we have the opportunity to start our gardens earlier as well.

Although we have started long lead time plants for the garden, this is funny when I look out at our snow covered frozen garden!

Noted with many thanks Cher.
We won't be able to start for awhile as it is still below freezing and have had some recent snow. But a little bit warmer day it is still safe to prune back, and also can start the seedlings indoors. I save seeds every year from plants - saves me money.
