Race to Breed Rare Langur on Vietnamese Island

Thanks to the vigorous efforts by a community-based conservation project, the langur has been rescued from the brink of extinction, but with a fragmented population, recuperating the numbers is tough, especially in prime hunting season.

It sound like these animals had a good chance at survival.

These animals wouldn't be rare if they were taken care of in the first place. With so few, the gene supply is limited.

I hope these Langurs have the chance to multiply! Or as was said at end of article "if someone put their mind to it they could wipe these langurs out in a month". Sad.
Thank You Cher.
