America's Arctic, in Northern Alaska, is one of the Earth's last great untouched wilderness areas. It's home to 20% of the Earth's polar bears, the Arctic's greatest concentration of both grizzly bears and wolverines, and one of the largest caribou herds

also urged the authorities to which the request is directed on the protection of polar bears to oppose any attempt to install the oil companies and the marketing of hides, hooves or any part of the polar bears even by of Arctic peoples. You are currently in between that that President Obama can accomplish in World Trade Conference stop polar bears are considered an endangered species because of opposition including Canada. This occurs as a result of which they are a part of the economy of the Eskimo people selling their skins, hooves and other body parts. Here is the link where the information about recent events regarding the above. A hug. The battle for salavarlos going to be very hard. There are many opposing interests. We can not lower our guard and defend them should be a priority. http://sociedad.elpais.com/sociedad/2013/03/07/actualidad/1362662803_980865.html via the newspaper El Pais of Spain. I ask you to use a translator to read the information or seek the same in newspapers that have published the same in English. The situation is extremely serious and urgent.

I think the Harper government wants polar bears to go extinct so there would be one less obstacle to mineral extraction in the Arctic and to the Northwest Passage. And in the meantime they can exploit the bears by bringing hunters in to murder them, which presumably puts lots of money into the Canadian economy. Signed and noted, thanks, Cher. And thanks to Stephanie for the LA Times link on the bad-news CITES vote.

Unspoiled for the moment, anyway.

Humans, continually, attempt to disrupt the balance of nature.
If some were 'left to their own devices, we would become another 'Soylent Green'.
The need for Big Business to make as much money as humanly possible, without regard for the population of people and our animal cousins, is beyond comprehension. The idea that any rational person would go along with their objective, is an indication of the GREED that has infiltrated our nation.

As one conservative said to me recently, 'Middle America lets slide, the greed and dishonesty perpetrated by the wealthy, because we all dream that one day, we will become one of them'.
I REST MY CASE!
