Any SOB that is so cruel to do this, should have his own legs hacked off----the more drastic things are becoming I go back to the old eye for eye, . Thanks Cher

I guess they don't know who the owner was, or some thing would be in the article. An eye for eye leaves the world blind. There needs to be more education and training before people can adopt or buy pets. We allow anyone, even people who have a record of cruelty to animals to adopt or buy new ones. Pets are not toys.

Sweet little Fabio has been through hell. Thanks to good people like those who chose to save him and give him a pain free way of getting around,he has a second chance. We can pray that the sub human that hacked off his little legs will have his own hell to live in.Karma is a real bitch to those like Fabios' owner. May Fabio get the wonderful loving home he and his friend deserve....together of course. thank you Cher for posting this story of hope.

this is so sad this is the second case like this in the last week APAM of Roumania who i support have just got in a dog like this
and they are trying to save it at the moment Evil Bs that can treat animals like this All animals should be micro chipped with the owners name so even if they have moved they have a name there needs to be harsher penalties when people are caught for abuse and make it harder for people to own pets in the first place I hope they can fit this poor dog with one of those carts to help it get around

Noted thanks

The amazing thing is how resilient animals can be. They get on with their lives. I'm a firm believer in testing and background checks for potential pet ownership. Someone will argue that it's an invasion of privacy, but they do it for babies don't they?

That's just disgusting, how could you do that to a little dog. I don't care what he was, escaped artist, digger or whatever there is no excuse to hack off his back paws. I'm just glad he was put into place were he could get some help. As far as I'm concerned Fabio's owner should get his feet cut off with dull ax.

Ah, such a lowlife scumbag to do such a horrific thing. I would be more than happy to "educate" that individual-repeatedly until they understood it was not a good thing to do ever. As a reward for learning I would make sure the scumbag was truly comfortable and enjoying his or her's dirtnap.

I would love the contact details of the arsehole who inflicted these horrific injuries to this poor dog to enable payback. An eye fo an eye is required.

Why isn't there any info on what was done to the sadistic sob who did this to him? That's pure torture and abuse and the US has laws to punish people who do this.

I hope the low life that did this to this precious baby is behind bars for a long time for what he did. This man does not need to be walking around any neighborhood. Fabio is amazing considering what he went through, have a wonderful life without that SOB!!

I hope that they find this owner and justice is served! He certainly deserves to be put in jail for a long time! This person should be prohibited from ever owning animals again too. After he committed such horrible cruelty to this little dog- he should never have the right to have another pet again. This person has to be a very mean and cruel person. It was just a miracle that this beautiful little Fabio survived! I'm so glad he did and he is out of that monster's reach. Little Fabio is soooooo precious and inspiring too!
