Time is running out. The temporary shelter is closing, and this poor Rottweiler has no place to go.

I wish I could help Bruno's 'owner' so the two of them could stay together; how heartbreaking.
May there be a happy ending...

So many sad stories because of hurricane Sandy, this one is heart breaking. I sure hope someone in the area can offer Bruno a loving home.

This is so sad. I read a report at the weekend that Bruno had been re-homed - hope the report was accurate and that this lovely dog does now have a home.

I hope with all my heart that this gorgeous boy finds a loving home, with people who will respect and care for him always. It is heartbreaking that his person has had to give him up. Good luck, beautiful, sweet Bruno. And good luck to your person too.

Agree with Laura H.I wish I could help Bruno and his owner, who crys each time he sees him, and came across some very hard times. I feel deeply for both of them. I am sure Bruno will find a new forever home. (but I am not so sure that his owner will, for some time). The force and power of Mother Nature can be so cruel to humans, and animals.
Thanks for this Cher.

Poor Bruno-hoping for the best! I just read about him very recently, it is not here on Cher's posts, hm, thought he did actually find a home, maybe I'm mistaken. Might have been Dianne Lynn Elko or Henriette who posted something about him. Thx Cher.

I read about this. Why can't the dog tried to be fostered until the owner can get back on his feet?

This is a heartbreaking story since both the owner and the dog are so devoted to one another but the owner suddenly finds himself in a position, with no job, that he can't take his dog! Can't somebody in the owner's family- a relative, a friend or foster as Allan suggested take the dog temporarily till the owner can have his dog again? Caesar Milan may do this as he so good with all breeds and he seems to have a kind heart.

Just read an update to this story in comment section of this site that everyone will be glad to hear: Update! Bruno has be transferred to Northwind Kennels, a rescue organization located in Beford, New York, where he'll have a much better chance at finding a good home.

Noted, twittered, fb and google shared asking anyone and everyone to give him a loving forever home. This is just too heartbreaking for words. As are all of the tragedies associated with Hurricane Sandy. My heart hurts for his owner. Thanks Cher.

Surely the real issue is not whether Vick is reformed and is able to have a dog due to some lack of retribution as a result of his original actions. Some people do readjust their thinking in our experience but that NO ONE is making an issue of pathetic laws. That is on all of us!
