And here we thought opposable thumbs were the only things keeping the cats in check, but this cat can turn a knob, people! We're doomed.

Noted. I've got a cat that has tried to open doors {yes, he's big enough to easily reach the doorknob} but hasn't mastered it as of yet. This was really cool to watch. He was so pleased with himself after opening that door! Thanks so much, Cher.

Funny!! I have to warn y'all that my Amirah HAS perfected her technique and can open any door that's not locked!! Be afraid, be very afraid! This cat is aiming to rule the world!
Thanks for this one, Cher.

Funny, but, the kitty is too over weight.

This is so stinkin' cute! He is a big boy, but knows how to distribute his weight accordingly, very coordinated and handsome!! Love it, thanks Cher! It brightened my day!

Sprytny kot. Mój pies też potrafi otwierać drzwi, ale zamykać to już nie, co jest drażniące zwłaszcza zimą.

One of my cats learned to open a drawer with a flexible handle....it was the drawer where I kept the little fuzzy balls she loved to fetch! People were always AMAZED to see her determinedly walk up to the chair-side table, stand on her back feet, open the drawer, take out a ''fuzzie'' and bring it to me.

I once tossed that thing FOURTY-TWO TIMES before she flopped down, sides heaving and lay on the toy!

Sure is smart, lol. Our doors here do not have such knobs, all handles and my cat never had any problems jumping up and open them! Thx !

My Kirby-Dirby would open doors and the other cats followed him but he never learned how to close it....he left that up to 'Mom!' LOL

Our cat also knows how to open doors and does not rest until every door in the house is open.....his motto seems to be "thou shalt have no closed doors before me" When he wakes from his nap he patrols to make sure all the doors are open. If the door is locked he sits outside it yowling, if you still don't open it, he sleeps in front of it, almost, it seems, waiting to trip up the next human to exit.
