This reminds me ~ I have to go fill my feeders! It's not so nice here yet, either!

This is very sad. I hope the Brits can do their part for the wildlife and strays in need.

Noted sadly for the poor hedge hogs. We are starting to get warmer Yeah! But here in Alberta, Canada we never know when another snowy episode with freezing weather can happen.

Tragic, while we humans can tolerate weather within our homes and buy food, we forget to care for the wildlife.

The public needs to do all they can to help keep these animals alive in such freezing temps.! Bird feeders, putting water out for these animals, and putting pet food out for hedgehogs can make such a difference for these animals. That is the only way that most of them can make it through such extremes in temp. Thanks Cher for this great information!

Yes, weather can be unforgiving especially in areas that don't get a lot of cold weather, it can be devastating.

Yes, it's very cold here in spite of the sun. I'm staying at my mum's at the moment - she and her husband have lots of bird feeders, and it's lovely to see so many species coming to visit.
