They forgot...great excuse for old ladies to wear floppy hats and get muddy. Gardens are just fun, everything tastes better when you grow it yourself.

Thanks for this article Cher. I will only be planting my garden in pots this year - gave up my garden plot to a bigger shed for my other half. He misses the strawberries, peas, cucumbers and tomatoes so much - my sweet revenge....We have several areas around our little town that people with only balconies or no yards to speak of can use and last year it was interesting to see some of the companion planting that included flowers such as marigolds, milk weed to bring the butterflies and others. We even can get free compost that is made up from the grass clippings etc that we recycle.
