British Columbia's wolves need protection, not persecution. With legal support from West Coast Environmental Law we are in the process of launching legal action to end the unethical wolf kill contest. Our legal team maintains that the contest is illegal

Subject: Please! Stop the illegal wolf-killing contest now!

Honourable Rich Coleman
Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources
(the Minister responsible for B.C. gaming)

Honourable Terry Lake BC Minister of Environment
Honourable Steve Thomson BC Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources

Dear Minister Coleman,

I am writing to express my concern that an illegal wolf-kill contest is currently being supported by the British Columbia government when it appears to be in violation of section 206 and 207 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

In addition to the criminal nature of this contest, I am also concerned about a wildlife management policy that allows prize money to be awarded for killing animals without mandatory reporting, inspection and no requirement for a specific license.

I believe that the provincial government is undermining its ability to manage wildlife when it encourages unregulated financial incentives to encourage the killing of wolves, a highly social and intelligent animal.

I look forward to your response,

Noted and sent - with prayers that God keeps them safe and protected and that those who hunt them, including their families, don't live to see another sunrise. Disgusting monsters.

I'm not understanding why it is necessary to murder off all of the apex predators in all countries. Once they're gone we will be next. It's ignorant and stupid to upset the balance of the ecological system. Why is this something we've constantly got to battle. Haven't we learned anything along the way? Our species is proving that we're basically destructive and parasitic. This needs to end.
