Everything belongs to cats, so it's not even really stealing. We're just borrowing their things.

Myk'ael (Mickey) is my little cat burgler. He steals everything, especially shiny stuff and worse he's a hoarder!
I have to clean out his little stash spots every so often and always when jewelry goes missing.

It doesn't matter where we live, cats have a universal behavior.

I remember my tuxedo cat Kirby, could not wait until I finished drinking my Yoo-Hoo. For those of you who don't live in the south, Yoo-Hoo is a watered-down chocolate drink, it has no milk in it. Inevitably, whenever I'd take one out of the fridge and start drinking it through a straw, Kirby would jump down from the fridge-where he lay watching my every move!-to the table and he'd put his paw on my throat and sniff the straw as I swallowed!! He hardly let me take my medicine with it before I'd get mad at him and shooed him off the table but not for long...he was like a boomerang!! I'd try to save the rest of my yoo-hoo for later but noooooooooo!! Kirby wanted it right then!! After finishing my breakfast, I'd pour the last drops of my yoo-hoo into a bowl and then let him have it!! SHEEEEEEEEESH!! It was such an ordeal 'coz he would NOT leave me alone!! LOL Thnx for triggerin' the memories, Cher :)

Delightful, have known many cats who live to plunder and they are all adorable plus. Max loved to pilfer from purses and he specialized in car keys and soft ear plugs. If there was an open purse...he was there to investigate. Other cats loving shiny objects (a crow in his past life before being Siamese?) have been jewel thieves hiding jewellery. Items such as rings and watches under shag rugs often to be found months later on. Chocolate is toxic to cats and I have to hide my chocolate truffles rather than to have them used in feline floor hockey. Cats are fascinating individuals with splendid purrsonalities...always ready to steal your heart!
