I know exacting what this is - watching paint dry and cats are masters of that.

Sometimes at night, Cosmo will sit beside me on the arm of the sofa, his nose maybe an inch from the wall. And he stares at the wall for an hour or so. I'm serious -- his eyes are open and he's looking straight ahead ... at a wall.

LOL! Aside from watching the bird feeders (which makes sense!) my cats just stare at nothing. Like Kit says, the wall. But I think there are critters behind the walls ~ mousies!

Lovely pictures and quips about cats I love it when you are reading a paper or magazine and they have to sit right in the middle of it same if you playing a board game or doing a puzzle Cats are so psychic though I am sure they can see ghosts and things sometimes that we cannot

noted thanks

All of my cats have stared at "nothing"....but, don't you believe it..they are watching the ghosts of our former pets coming to visit us! My cat often suddenly "hears" something and, ears forward, stares into the dark...brrrrrrrrrrrr! If the doorbell rings, she growls and waits for me, then suspiciously accompanies me to the door. She's my little "guardcat".

My Winston is the master at bug alerts. All I have to say is "get the buggie", and he's right on it.
