At 10:48 am on 17 April in Beijing, Greenpeace made a bit of history: we joined the first batch of around 50 rooftop solar PV projects that connected to the grid in China.

Congratulations to Greenpeace! Now why are we not doing this all over the world? Maybe the developed countries are waiting for the complete end of all oil and other fossil fuel reserves? That is coming soon, along with the destruction of all remaining habitats for animals and humans. What have we done?

Well done GP. China needs to get off the fossil fuel teat and start doing things correctly. They have a huge job in cleaning up and maintaining the Three Gorges Dam. Of course there is much to be accomplished such as do you really need those thirty new dams that would affect the Pearl and Mekong River systems? Just saying...
