The Jarawa are a 400-strong hunter-gatherer tribe living on India's Andaman Islands. Their ancestors are thought to have been part of the first successful human migrations out of Africa, and arrived on the Andaman Islands up to 55,000 years ago.

WTF people! Leave actual contact to anthropologists and National Geographic, quit being a bunch of PT Barnum sideshow gawkers! Those natives should have the islands mostly to themselves and even that logging road should be closed and replanted! Who needs a sideshow safari when NGS can print up gorgeous photos without disrupting or infecting natives?

Hmm...I didn't know about this group of people in India. Interesting...

Anyways, I signed the petition. If they want to be left alone, then leave them alone!

If the invasive tourism keeps up, a population of 400 isn't likely to survive long - entirely aside from the wilful disregard for the humanity of the trbe

Who needs a sideshow safari when NGS can print up gorgeous photos without disrupting or infecting natives?"

TOURISM TO INDIA MUST BE BOYCOTTED! NOT ONLY ARE THEY INFRINGING ON THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF THESE TRIBES BUT INDIA CAPTURES ELEPHANTS & ABUSE THEM FOR TRANSPORTING TOURISTS TO OTHER SITES. TO ALL THE TOURISTS SUPPORTING THE PROLONGATION OF ANIMAL ABUSE SHOULD BE ASHAMED! ALL THOSE GOING TO THE ISLAND TO GAWK AT THE LOCAL TRIBES, PLEASE GO LOOK IN THE MIRROR,YOU MIGHT JUST SEE SOMETHING YOU NEVER SAW B4!
