Not only is the practice of slaughtering horses for food rather tasteless, so is horsemeat...

Kara C (15)
Friday May 3, 2013, 7:18 pm
I really don't understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to slaughterring horses for food. While appauling killing horses is no worse then killing cows and a lot better then killling chickens (at least horses are larger and have more meat then a chicken).

Because, Kara, human beings are so good at cruelty, poaching, slaughtering, and torture. The way animals are treated would make a rock sick Perhaps you are unaware of this, so I would suggest you do your homework..

The more I read about animal cruelty, the closer I come to being vegetarian. I have always had a hard time eating meat, but it is getting ever so much harder.

Horses are animals used for pet therapy, as companions of life, lead us on the back and give us incredible emotions ♥ thousands of people love this noble animal dignified,
Us who love horses say "enough"!

We do not allow the slaughter of horse meat ... is an animal for disease spread, share, so that people understand that eating the flesh of horses and how to eat the flesh of your dog ...
How much suffering involves the horses to eat them ..? ... Stop the long distance transport of horses / animals for slaughter.
Own .... If you can not eliminate animal protein, really cut it to a minimum and choose only the short chain.

It is a start of a vicious cycle, now the old horses. Next may be old pensioners for slaughterhouses. Is this how we get rid of retired animals and maybe retired humans? The greedy seem to get greedier.

Evelyn B (79)
Tuesday May 28, 2013, 8:23 am
Noted and Siigned Petition...The only way this will stop, is the sport horse industry, racing, show etc.. They all breed for greed and the ultimate one.. HIt them first then this will stop, As long as they continue to overbreed you'll have this problem, There are not enough homes for all and rescues are bursting at the seam, with low donations they can save more...

I signed back on November 21st.

I hope they ban the slaughterhouses again!!
