I came across a nifty DIY bee hive tutorial on the Homesteading Self Sufficiency Survival page, and soon found myself deep into an internet investigation of all kinds of do-it-yourself homes and hideaways for attracting critters to your yard and garden.

Thank You, Cher. Yes, we do need to grow more flowers. I am currently learning how. With any luck and a Wing and a Prayer I may yet develop a Green Thumb.

google bat houses..........I'm sure yoy will find instructions. Also, public libraries sometimes have nature craft books for kids /adults on how to construct them
I wonder if plastic /paper drinking straws would work for bee houses? Would they be too small for a bee to fit in?If so, find straws at dollar stores.
What about paper towel, tp rolls if they are protected from the rain?

I'll refrain from making the obvious suggestion to abduct Michelle Bachman, she should attract bats ... oh, wait, it's too late, isn't it?
