I can think of 5 reasons bobcat trapping should be made illegal, and there are probably more.
1) It is horribly cruel.
2) Trapping a parent may well doom her offspring.
3) Since the bobcat population isn't well documented, there is a strong chance that trapping endangers the species, considering that a great many pelts are sold.
4) Removing large numbers of predators from their habitat is environmentally damaging.
5) It is theft from the American public, in the sense that the public as a whole supports sustainable, healthy wild lands and wild animals.

Signed. It is apparent that the plan is to exterminate all of the beautiful predators from this insane country, run by greedy ranchers and of course big money that finds its way into the governments hands. The relentless slaughter must stop. All trapping must be stopped now the extreme suffering these trappers cause is unbearable to think about. When the predators are gone the vermin will take over, then What Ya Gonna Do??

Signed. It is especially heinous for trappers to skulk at the periphery of the protected area, so as to catch the poor animals if they even step a foot out of their safe zone.

Why can't hunters leve all wild cats, big and small alike, alone to live their lives in the wild? They are an integral part of their ecosystem, they are endangered. I am beginning to think that all hunting should be banned internationally by law, and only allowed to a selected group of hunters to kill some species, when they become too many for their habitat to support the whole population.
Bobcats are so few in most countries, and they live in most countries in protected areas, but as bobcats cannot read, they don't know where their protected ara begins or ends. This creates hop e for the trappers, who willingly roam the "buffer" zone and make their traps ready fot some unfortunate bobcat, who has the guts to try to find food outside the protected area.
The trappers are the most inhumane of hunters, because their bounty can be left sometimes for days on end to suffer excruciating pain and torture. And the bobcat had to die for fur? I took the poll yesterday, and one question was: Do you wear fur. I answered yes, but forgot to leave a comment: fake fur. The bobcats need their fur much more than some trophy trapping humans. I just hate trapping, it is no hunting, just torture of the worst kind.
Martin Luther King Jr. is quoted as saying, “Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”
