Thanks for an interesting and informative article from The Telegraph, I am hopeful that the Lynx will adapt well to the forest lands in Scotland.

Jamie Stewart makes a good point. With the Scottish wildcat nearing extinction can a lynx population be expected to fare any better?

I'd love nothing more then to see the Lynx thrive there...but I just have to wonder how long it will be before we're all here submitting petitions+signing them to plead 4 protection of this very same Lynx...Thx Cher

Great news- I think the lynx would do well at this point since its main prey, the deer, is bountiful- unlike the wildcat who predate mainly on rabbits or rodents and small mammals,- and will hunt most things smaller than they are including insects, reptiles, fish and birds.

Yes that would be good to see as long as they are not putting them there to start hunting them I dont trust half these humans anymore Always seems to be an ulterior motive like money

noted thanks

There are so many "what happens if" in this article, I hope the project is successful.

Noted. I'm delighted to hear that these conversations have been going on; exciting to know that this is happening after so many years. I understand the concerns of the Scots on their breed, however. I have one major suggestion: Don't use the photo that came with the article to ireintroduce the Lynx!

W Polsce rysie są pod ochroną, w WB też powinny być.

This is fine just as long as they don't start hunting them down in 5 or 10 years like the US is doing to the wolves that were reintroduced after being hunted into extinction.

If a country can't take care of the animals it has, why should it be allowed to have animals that they let go extinct. This is just an excuse for hunters to kill the animals. Unless man is fenced in, I'm not sure this is a good idea.
