Unless you do not have a lot of traffic, pine is very inexpensive, but soft; it scratches easily. Recycled hardwoods are the best choice; they are durable, and will last forever.
I've seen bamboo floors- you have to take your shoes off if your wearing heals!

Almost every wood should not be walked on with high heels, but thatīs why you take off your shoes in the house and discos have stone floors or tiles.
