The wild bobcats that roam the west end of the Santa Monica Mountains have had it hard in recent times. Roads and suburban development have introduced new threats to their habitat, an outbreak of mange took a toll, and biologists are discovering that

Noted with sadness - poor innocent animals - they deserve the best but always get the worst. What is it with us that we cannot safeguard, love and protect them.

Several hungry bobcats have been seen in Griffith Park, near the zoo. ONE HAS MANAGED TO GET IN!

It WILL be darted and relocated.
