All dog breeds began their history with humans as grey wolves. Dogs do know how you feel and what you are thinking, they read your facial signs for emotions. We have over tens of thousands of years, bred these wonderful animals to be dependent and closely tied with humans. We are responsible for their misery.

done. It IS unacceptable. These poor creatures have this fate thrust upon them. What a terrible way to die and so many are needlessly killed because not enough people give a damn.

So-called euthanasia by gas is ALWAYS unacceptable. (And unless the killing occurs in the case of undoubtedly fatal illness or injury, it's not euthanasia, that is, mercy killing.) Signed and noted, thanks, Cher.

Noted and signed - if only I could round up all the disgusting animal abusers and damn well gas them. These poor animals - I can't even begin to imagine the suffering before death - all thanks to us humans!

This is NOT euthanasia. This IS callous, prolonged agony inflicted onto both cats and dogs. How these 'shelter people' can actually subject any animal to this most torturous method of killing is beyond my comprehension and understanding. They KNOW the animals suffer, they KNOW they can take up to half an hour to die, they KNOW that the animals die fighting for their very last breath, they KNOW the animals die vomiting and defecating, they KNOW that they die howling and screaming and yet they still put them into these chambers, shut the door, turn and the gas and then WALK AWAY, leaving the animals to die in pain, in agony, in terror, unloved and alone. Shame on every last 'shelter worker' that participates in this barbaric, cruel MURDER.

this breaks the heart.. just look at that poor pup behind those glass doors.. what sort of a hardened criminal does this cruel job of gassing poor shelter-pets.. the gas-chambers have to be abolished, and all shelters go No-Kill.. in a country of 300 million people and animal lovers, to find homes of the 3 million pets (or 1% of the population ) should be easy.. shelter-directors and shelter staff - please stop ALL killings at the Animal shelters and go No-Kill..
