The energy star on appliances gives information about how much energy they use.

When I re-did my house 10 years ago,the energy star rating was a big determiner in what washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher to buy.

I replaced all of my older appliances just in the past three years. All of the newer ones I bought showed high energy star ratings. Thanks Cher

Some of mine are eco-friendly (as possible I suppose) but I rent, don't own.

I wonder where one would find a smart meter to monitor kilowatt usage per appliance in real time.
