What a wonderful program. The devils are cute when young but not so much as adults...their temperament is also volitile, and loud. Noted with thanks.

The picture makes the animal look so innocent, but I read they can really be mean. I hope they make it in the wild.

Interesting article and hopefully this program proves successful in helping reestablish endangered species populations. Noted, and thank you for posting this Cher.

so glad they have a plan, I can only hope it can help combat the dwindling numbers due to contagious facial cancer

they remind me of fishers so I know how hard it is for an animal w/a "bad reputation" to get the help they need to survive

SIGNED, NOTED & SHARED, OF COURSE, THANX CHER !
XXXX

THESE LIL GUYS ARE CYOOOT AS BABIES & THE ADULTS,
AREN'T TOO BAD LOOKING, BUT, THEIR AGGRESSION, IS
OVER FOOD, MAINLY, BUT, ALSO DURING THE BREEDING
SEASON, OVER FEMALES & THE BEST BURROWS !

THEY ALSO HAVE VERY NOISY INTERCOURSE, ; LOTS
OF NOISE & AGGRESSION, IS THE WAY OF THE TASSIE
DEVIL, BUT, THEY ARE NOT KNOWN TO HURT HUMANS,
WITH MALICE, OR AS POTENTIAL PREY !

THEY WILL BITE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES, WHEN THEY
PERCEIVE DANGER !
THEY DON'T REALLY DO ANYTHING *WRONG* TO DESERVE,
THEIR *BAD REPUTATION*, BUT, THEY HAVE ONE ANYWAY,;
PROBABLY, B/C OF THEIR NOISINESS !

(BAD EYES=BIG TYPE)

Please, protect them! What amazes me is how cruel man"kind" is and yet other animals are called bad, there is no worse animal than Man"kind" out there. Only people cause extinction, only people wear animal coats.

Australians have gone to great lengths to protect the Tasmanian Devils. I hope they can be released back to the wilds, safe from the "Devil cancer" (I know that's not it's real name, but I can't think of it) and safe from people.
