It is not surprising for me at all – they are endangered “species” in China, both Tibetan monks and Snow leopards, they are connected, we are all connected, and like author have said QfA:
"Buddhism has as a basic tenet -- the love, respect, and compassion for all living beings,".

Good news. What will the monks do when they see someone with a rifle going after the snow leopards. They don't have any weapons to use.
