On September 10, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) announced that it will take immediate action to list the southern white rhinoceros as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). In doing so, USFWS seeks to close a loophole

I last August I was on holiday in South Africa and I visited the Kruger Park, I talked with the Rangers who have told me:
The poachers to this breed are very active, consider that from January to date are killed in South Africa ( only .... ) 500 rhinos , these poachers are not as we might imagine poor blacks armed with spears and arrows or rifles of the era, but they are very advanced equipped with very advanced technology as helicopters, satellite navigation ect , they always try to intercept the messages of the lodge's off-road cars that communicate with each other , and although to these are forbidden to indicate which breed is present in that specific place , if not through codes changed daily , but the poachers come always without fail , and within an hour they kill cut the horns and disappear.
Just for curiosity Rhino horn is IDENTICAL to our nails ..... The South East Asia people ...... this is only all superstition.

Are hidden and forbidden , but there are reserves of big game hunting , customers also arrive here by helicopter: they kill , take photos and flee in a matter of few minutes, costs $ 250,000 to kill a Rhino anyone who have these moneys have the certainty of killing, it sucks absurd.

If something is not done that works, all our Rhino will go extinct, i think that is obvious now. The poachers just go in and out in mere minutes, leaving the rhino dead or dying. If only the Chinese government or the Korean Government were to get involved and put their might behind it perhaps the populace will listen to austere force as it doesnt seem like the people who wrongly believe in the horns properties will see sense at all, the price just goes up and up making rhino poaching irresistible.

As my friend Curzio siad, the poachers are well equipped with sophisticated and expensive equipment, how is possible that nobody knows who finances them? But really?? I don't believe it!
