Fracking on an unstable fault line? That doesn't sound like a very wise move to me ...

This is so upsetting and even more so because California is so riddled with earthquake faults. See the very informative article about fracking causing earthquakes in Mother Jones at:

signed. We are waaaaay overdue for "the big one" . Just celebrated(?) the anniverary of the last one to hit Sf a few years back. Jerry used to be one of the good guys. Is he getting 1.senile or 2. greedy in his later years?
Someone Please! remind him of geography/history lesson! We live in earthquake country for heaven's sake...what does he think he is doing? Long dead before the big one hits, and he won't be accountable for betraying the people who voted for him?

We're fighting it in NYS as well. Belgium and Bulgaria have already banned it. I heard that the English want to ban it also, so it isn't just a USA problem.

S & N, thanks my friend for all you do. It is sheer stupidity to frack where there are numerous and dangerous fault lines for Earthquakes to happen. Who wants to pick up the tab for the loss of life and infrastructure, and businesses, etc., etc.? Bet it won't be the frackers.

As I was signing this petition I thought of the many earthquakes that California has had. It looks like a lot of you thought of the same thing. Looks like Jerry's gone to the dark side.

Yes. this country needs energy, But it doesn't need to come at the expense of the environment! It doesn't need to cost the lives of countless plants and animals the world over, just to allow greedy oil and gas companies to make more money! There are better ways!

Very dangerous territory for fracking, unless California likes earth quakes. Big oil and gas couldn't give a damn.
