His family, however, is seeking to move because of threats of retaliation in the controversial case.

I'm glad Phineas is home but it's such a shame that the family may have to resort to moving because of the hostility that surrounds them.

This is crazy. Now days people think they can do and say what they want and not take responsibility for it. I think if I were in this situation, I'd move also with my dog.

YOU GO PHINEAS!!!!!!! This is a blessing for Phineas and his family. I'm sorry to hear the people are so closed minded as to retaliate and threaten the way they are. I sure wouldn't want to move to that town if I had a dog. I hope the owners get out of town asap. Phineas looks great, well fed and exercised another reason to thank the supporter. May the supporter & the judge, who used his brain, have a good full and happy life. May the haters get the karma coming their way.

It is so easy to blame the dog who can not speak for himself. The bite marks were not even from a dog it said.

Also I have to put in my usual 5 cents (Inflation). Was Phineas going to be euthanized? Was he sick or suffering? Well he was suffering from closed minded people but he was not ailing. He was going to be killed. Please people, before you use this euphemism look of the meaning. Poor Phineas would have been killed.

I am glad that he is not going to be killed and that his family gets away form those fools in that town as soon as possible. Like everyone else here I would get out to someplace saner.

Best to move. I never met a bad lab-ever. Sounds like a real back water place to live..was Deliverance filmed there using locals?

Thank you to the judge who ruled with the "bite mark evidence" that cleared Phinneas. Shame on the town for being so extreme and unreasonable. Love the "safe house" episode and the friends who helped. Thank you to all for your support.

Glad to see that the judge followed the evidence.

One has to wonder that since the wound on the child was not at all caused by Phineas, why is the family of the injured girl so intent on having Phineas put down? Is Phineas to serve as a sacrificial scapegoat for what purpose? Makes one wonder. Perhaps the child had simply hurt herself while playing as children often do.

Some people seem incapable of considering things impartially. I hope the Sanders family finds a place to live in a location that is friendly and fair-minded!

Noted ! So Happy he was found Safe and now back with his Family ! Thank You to the Judge who could See the bite marks where not from a dog and closed this case ! Sad that the family has to move ,but if anyone is threatening to Kill a member of your family, you have to Protect that member ! I'm sure a Move would be a Good thing ,for All of them ! Sounds like it's a Witch Hunt for this dog ! I hope this family and their dog have a better life then this town has shown them !

So so happy that Phineas is back with his family. If I was in this predicament I would fight them with everything I have - I am not one to be intimidated by anything. Phineas was innocent from the start and to hell with the rest of them that think he wasn't.

I just love the viciousness produced in small town America. It goes to show that court decisions don't mean anything to many. Kinda like the Republican whiners in Congress on healthcare. The family should move if they want peace. There are many places in America that are safer and better for the family. They may choose to stay, but the family will have to take whatever comes their way and they will never be in real control of the safety of their family and pooch. People DO NOT forget issues over time. Such is life in rumor and conspiracy filled America.
