We don't advocate buying animals from pet shops EVER, but with an infection and flea infestation, little Cricket really needed a hero.

sadly the store will just buy more diseased cats in order to sell them too. millions of cats and dogs are euthanized, shot, run over and abandoned every year. please spay and neuter

Poor thing. I am glad she is on her way to a happy, healthy life and a rescuer that loves her. I too would have reported the pet store. There needs to be an investigation so this doesn't happen again.

Facebook Update on Cricket: Currently she is enjoying food -she's tuckered out from a night of fun! I have a few moments to update you on how she's doing.
Cricket regained proper control of her back legs after weeks of therapy. Our friends here bought her a few scratchers that really helped her position herself, and we hung toys for her to grab at when standing. We also did not allow her to roam on soft slippery flooring. Sometimes she still splays, but usually when she's tired.
Cricket has bad eyes, her infections are often relentless and hard to treat. Currently she is on two meds for her right eye and has been responding well!
Cricket also has a few other issues we are dealing with -bowl issues that require special diet. Foot issues that could mean something more is going on, but none of this keeps her from enjoying life to its fullest extent.
Cricket runs, cricket jumps, cricket is LOUD! Cricket is a drama queen and shows it LOL. She is small but she is very mighty. I hope you come to love her as much as we do!

What a sad story that someone could let a little kitten get in to this state Over here that person would be found and prosecuted id possible as this is still animal abuse and neglect causing suffering So glad she is doing better now poor defenceless animals dont deserve this

Pet Shops are awful, if they insist on selling animals they should at least care for them properly. Adopt is always better, but in this case, I am so glad should bought this precious angel.

It is very wonderful that Melinda found Cricket and is giving all the special care and attention needed to bring this sweet kitty back to good health.
I agree with what a few have said earlier - Please spay or neuter!
Thank You Cher.
