In October 2013, Mr. Senior and his bachelor friend, who we'll call Guy, were captured by the state of Nevada's Department of Agriculture (NDA) in Stagecoach, Nevada for what the state deemed a potential public safety issue.

Awww....made me get teary eyed reading this story, I do pray that these other horses (not captured), can remain free, and I'm glad that Mr. Senior and Guy have been rescued and are now at a sanctuary. Thanks, Cher for the post.

Thank You to Return to Freedom and DreamCatcher Wild Horse and Burro Sanctuary in northern California. There Mr. Senior and Guy will live as wild horses on 2,000 acres with other rescued horses, and Mr. Senior will be cared for lovingly in his twilight years.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful post Cher.

Wild horses and burros are treasures and the federal and state governments have called war on them and sending many to slaughter. Others are stuck in concentration camps and those thousands of equines will most likely be slaughtered in the USA as soon as the slaughter houses open. This is a wonderful rescue. Look at those beautiful horses and write to your congress person to end the round ups, release the captive horses & burros to their rightful homes and SAY NEIGH TO HORSE SLAUGHTER.
