I guess everyone has heard what happened at the Dallas Zoo on Sunday. For reasons known only to the male lion he attacked and killed a the lead lioness. Many are writing letters and making phone calls to plead for them to not kill him.
Dallas Zoo officials are still trying to figure out what went wrong Sunday at the Giants of the Savanna exhibit. Horrified families looked on, as two male lions turned on a lioness and killed her.

The lions had all been born in captivity and raised together with no incident for the last three years.

Zoo officials say even in the wild, lions in prides rarely, if ever, turn on each other.
