I think that no animal should live in a zoo, I hate them all!

I agree Ruth, but there comes a time when these animals need our protection. A first class zoo is not so terrible versing the alternative.

If there should exist Zoos let them at least be runned by responsible and caring people..

It would be wonderful if all zoos had this status. Sadly, there is a necessity for world class zoos that are run well and in the interest of the animal that ensure the survival of some species. Perhaps one day tiger and other populations will be raised in the wild so that one has no need of zoos for the preservation of a species, but until that day, anything helping tigers and other endangered wild animals to continue to survive is a necessity. Perhaps one day in the future all wild animals will once again be Born Free.

A great example can be seen with our critically endangered Sumatran tigers. With only 500 individuals remaining in the wild, maintaining genetic diversity in captive populations is of paramount importance.
